"Night water reflection" - 2005
I started to take pictures at the age of six, when my father gave me my first camera as a present. In 1976 I inherited a Leica from my grandfather, in 1978 I bought my first reflex, my dark room to develop and print black & white by myself and the first prizes at the photographic contests. Now the digital reflex, which allows the absolute control of the whole process, from the shot to the final print.
I participated in several photographic competitions winning numerous prizes. Among them the first prize in the national competition "Le opere di Andrea Palladio nel paesaggio urbano e rurale" organized by Ilford in 1980 with exhibition of the winning photographs in the Basilica Palladiana of Vicenza and the first prize in the international competition "La regata storica di Venezia" organized by Canon and by the Municipality of Venice in 2005. I am member of the historic Photographic Club "La Gondola" of Venice.
This website is the result of my passion which always pushes me to discover new details and situations in my city, Venice, which is indeed the most photographed city but still offers new opportunities for those who know how to seize them.
